About Us

Launched on July 18, 2005, MoveBackToNebraska.com is a Web-based service that matches professionals and entrepreneurs, who formerly lived in Nebraska, with employment and entrepreneurial opportunities in Nebraska. The goal is to bring sharp, talented and enthusiastic people back home, reversing the "brain drain," where highly skilled people get their education in Nebraska and then take their talents and revenue-producing potential to another state.

In its first iteration, MoveBackToNebraska.com was a for-profit job board managed by Preferred Partners. As it grew, Preferred Partners sought and found a logical partner in the AIM Institute, who managed the site from 2007-2008. The site is now back under the Preferred Partners umbrella as a non-profit Web portal for former Nebraskans wishing to come home.

Although Preferred Partners manages the site, we don't want to exclude anyone from participating, and we have begun actively seeking help with the site. If you have ideas or suggestions, please let us know. Again, we're not in this for profit. We just want to promote the state and help former residents return.

MoveBackToNebraska.com is owned and managed by Preferred Partners, LLC, an established recruiting and information technology consulting firm.

The president of Preferred Partners, Mitch Arnold, is himself a native Nebraskan who chose to return to his home state after nearly eight years in North Carolina. (Why We're Doing This)
